Conditions of the University Scholarship

All Office of Undergraduate Admissions scholarships are limited in number, competitive, and are awarded annually on a rolling basis at the beginning of the scholarship cycle.

Students must be admitted to FAU before applying for an Office of Undergraduate Admissions scholarship.

Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee a scholarship.

Awards require continued enrollment at 30 credits per academic year, full-time status (15 credits or more at FAU), and are paid for fall and spring terms only.

These merit scholarships do not require an additional scholarship application, as eligibility is determined at the time of admission.

Many of the merit awards are competitive and are ultimately determined by the competitiveness of our freshman class.

As a general rule, scholarships offered by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions are not cumulative.

Scholars must maintain a FAU GPA of 3.0 for scholarship renewal.

To be considered for merit scholarships from the Office of Admissions, students must submit a complete application for admission by January 14, 2022, with all supporting documentation.
