Conditions of University Scholarships

Western Illinois University is pleased to offer a scholarship for international students of all nationalities. This scholarship is available to bright students with high grades to pursue an undergraduate degree at Western Illinois University in the United States.

Criteria:

• Renewable for up to three years (six semesters) as an undergraduate (8 semesters total) OR until student graduates, whichever comes first
• 3.0 cumulative GPA must be maintained for renewal
• 30 SH must be completed in the previous year to obtain the renewal
• Students must have accumulated less than 24 college credits
• Full-time continuous enrollment required (prorated $750 per 3 SH if an immigration exemption was granted for the last semester)
• 50% will be awarded in the fall semester and 50% in the spring semester. Not available to students enrolled in a government or NGO sponsorship program except with a bilateral agreement
• Recipients may register for the Summer School at state rates.
• Students enrolled in full-time online studies are eligible
• The scholarship only applied to WIU tuition. No cash refunds are available.
